How do you estimate your suit size but the size of your other clothes?

Ok so im getting involved with this program at school that just asks for a estimation of your suit size because sometimes they order tings like shirts for you so how can I find my suit size?? Oh and can it be the same a my dress size. Just wondering...plz and thx!
