Can i put a heat pad under a wooden tank for my milk snake? please help quickly?

its a wooden tank with a plexi glass screen. i dont want anything to burn. please help, never run into this problem b4!

it shouldnt burn, but the heat will not get through a wooden surface enough to be of any use it will just heat up a lot, and if you leave it on constantly there is a chance it could damage the heatmat or surface.

you should just drill a small hole in the viv (small enough to pass the cable through) take off the plug, pass the cable through with the heat mat inside, and then put the plug back on. make sure that if you do do this, you have a thermostat with a probe ontop of any substrate on the heat mat, or place a reptile type carpet ontop of it, which should stop the snake from getting burnt.

remember to get some silicone sealent and seal the hole/gap around the cable.
