I have 1950 china tea service with the picture of a village surrounded by mountains the tea cups have a geisha?

the edge of the mountains are painted green the cups have a geisha at the bottom it has a gold crown with a leaf design underneath

This site has an extensive list of Japanese porcelain makers with images of their hallmarks, which is what it sounds like you are describing with the crown and leaf on the bottom.

I spotted at least five different makers who used a crown motif for their hallmark, but none with a leaf also. You can try scrolling through the page to see if you can match something with yours.

1950s sounds about right. The period immediately following WWII was a boom time for Japanese porcelain. There were hundreds of companies, large and small, who got into the business. Most survived only a short time. Your piece could be from one of those obscure, defunct companies.

As for value, unless you can make a concise identification of the maker and design to research its scarcity, I'm only guessing. Most of this type of porcelain was lesser-quality made for the overseas market as souvenirs and gift shop ware, and as such, is not worth a great deal. A common tea pot can be found on eBay for under $10, even though it's approaching 'antique age' at 60 or so years. A complete tea service, with teapot, lid and at least a pair of matching cups and saucers, all in top condition with no fading, paint loss, age-cracking of the glaze (also called crazing) and completely free of chips and cracks, will get you the most, maybe $50 - $100 depending on the attractiveness of the design.
