If you saw a mom wearing a pink and brown baby sling/carrier would you assume the baby was a girl?
I just bought a reversible baby carrier for my son but the only one I liked was brown on one side and had a pink and brown design on the other. I thought it seemed to girly but my mother was with me and insisted that the design is more for the mom than the baby and its okay to have a boy in a pink sling. I am, of course, talking about the fabric slings you wear on your body to carry a baby in.
Would you assume it was a baby girl?
Well I bought the pink one and I don't really care if strangers think I have a girl. What's the harm? Everyone thought my daughter was a boy even when she was wearing purple with flowers just because she had short hair for so long. No big deal. I think I would also assume that the baby was girl, though I wouldn't say it because I never guess babies' genders in public because I don't want to be wrong and offend the mom.
Yeah, I would probably assume he was a she. 
My pouch sling is a reversible one as well, with one side purple and the other side aqua/lilac. I plan on using it at home with my little guy, but probably not much in public. Not so much because of the color (although that's a part of it) but because I plan on getting a Ergo...so excited!
