How many people would buy a suit then go to the tailor to alternate for perfect fit of your body?
I have tried many suits, such as DKNY, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein and Express, and I realized that it's so hard to buy a suit that is actually fit my body perfectly. I have an athlete body, so even those so called slim fit still doesn't really fit my body, because the stomach part of the suits are always big for me. I am wondering if I should buy the suit and have a tailor to alternate it, and if the tailor is not good, then the suit gonna be ruined. Any suggestion??
tailors know what they are doing, that's their job. there is no need to worry too much about that. just tell them exactly what you want. but the better thing is to make custom suit, like that you are sure that they suit you. at first they will make a template of your suit and you will try it. they will fix all the part that you want, and then they will make your suit.
i do mine online, at indochino.com, because i like jacket that fit me exactly. in store, for me, the jacket is always too big around the waist, and i don't like that. indochino do a really good job (at least for me) as long as you give them the right measure of your body.
