How do I become an invited member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.?
I understand that as someone who has graduated from undergrad, I must be invited into a graduate chapter, but I do not know how to go about being invited into a chapter. I live in Philadelphia, there are two graduate chapters here; however, the websites do not display information for events open to the public, nor do I know anyone in the chapters. I do not know any AKAs in this city. In my current situation, how do I become an invited member of this organization?
NOTE: I am Black...I have light skin and light hair
It won't be easy trying to get into the grad chapter. Keep doing community service and checking the grad chapters' websites for any community service open to the public. You'll never know who you will run into doing community service. It won't hurt to contact the chapters via mail to show you are interested.
