Disposable swim diaper worn with a swim suit top?

I am heading on vacation with my 8 month old daughter and was wondering the best thing for her and me to wear in the pool. I started looking at suits first for full coverage then thought changing her diaper would be tough. So I moved on to the 2 piece options then thought about her diaper. I am now thinking of throwing adorable out the window and just using disposable swim diapers and the top of a swimsuit. Has anyone done this before or have a better suggestion. I will be in a hotel so laundering is not really an option. Thanks

I found a swimsuit at Target, it might have been their Circo brand...the leg holes & waistband of the bottom of the two piece was REALLY water tight. It held in a decent poop! I used swim diapers a few times...but they don't seem to hold things in...so I stuck with the bathing suit for most situations.

It's important that her skin not be too exposed...after all, the less skin showing, the less chance of burning. I was born & raised in Florida...and am bringing up my babies here, too. So I am familiar with needing cover ups! If you can, find a shirt she can wear...they have some 'swim shirts' that are made out of the bathing suit material. Then a really wide brimmed hat...so that her whole face is shaded (even with sun block, this will be helpful).

And again...as for the diaper...I do not know how helpful it was. It essentially felt like cardboard wrapped around my daughter...whereas the bathing suit bottoms were actually holding water when I took her out of a pool...and didn't let it go until I pulled back part of her leg hole.

Keep in mind, too...that pools can be filled with gross stuff now that there are so many things to hepl babies swim in the water...so be careful to rinse off after & not let her drink it! (Cuz they seem to want to try!)
